A certified welding inspector performs visual inspections and tests on welded steel pieces to be used in the construction of buildings, bridges and other structures. These items could be in weld fabrication shops where they are being constructed or out in the field where current construction and existing structures are located. Items such as weld samples and others can also be shipped and inspected in our facility. A CWI Inspector visually inspects items for possible welding defects and uses testing and measuring instruments to detect faulty welds that do not meet the codes set forth by the engineers
